Steven H. Judd

   Steven H. Judd has practiced law in Florida for over 25 years. Steve obtained both a B.A. and M.B.A. from Northwestern University prior to obtaining a law degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. In addition to being a Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer, Steve is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. He has served on numerous boards including the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Foundation, The Pines of Sarasota, and Manasota Lighthouse for the Blind. Steve also served as chairman of the local grievance committee of the Florida Bar. Steve joined the Florida Bar in 1977 and is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida.

Richard A. Ulrich

   Richard A. Ulrich received his B.A. in English with a minor in Political Science from Bowling Green State University and his law degree from the University of Akron. He has represented condominium and homeowner associations, individuals and corporations for over 20 years, and is a member of the Sarasota County and Florida Bar Associations. As President of the Sarasota Civic League, member of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Human Resources Committee, past member of the City of Sarasota Charter Review Board and former Chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, Dick is committed to community activities. Dick is admitted to practice in all State Courts of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Donald W. Scarlett, Jr.

   Donald W. Scarlett, Jr. received his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa, and received his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from the University of Florida. In law school, Don received the Book Award for Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts. Don is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida. Don is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Florida Bar, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. Don has served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.

Joseph F. Summonte, Jr.

   Joseph F. Summonte, Jr. graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1997, where he completed internships with the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission, The Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office and the Honorable James D. Whittemore, who is now a Federal District Court Judge.
   Joseph has been listed in multiple professional directories, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and the 2007 edition of Madison's Who's Who of Executives and Professionals. In addition, he has been a presenter at seminars on construction law issues that provide continuing education credits for attorneys, contractors, engineers, and other construction professionals.
   From 1982-1990, Joseph was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. In 1990, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment reached by less than five percent of scouts. He was the recipient of the 2006 Florida Bar Young Lawyer's Division Award and the 2006 Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the 12th Judicial Circuit, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of Manasota, Inc.

Roy E. Dean

   Roy E. Dean received both his B.A. and his law degrees from the University of Minnesota. His more than 40 years of legal experience in Florida includes service as both a County Judge for Sarasota County and a Circuit Judge in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties, serving as Chief Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida in 1977. By appointment, he has served as an appellate judge in the 2nd District and the 4th District Courts of Appeal. He is a graduate of the National Trial Judges College. Roy is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Florida Bar, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator and Family Mediator. He has an extensive history of service to the community and the bar, and he has served as president of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court. Roy is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida.

John E. Wickman

   John E. Wickman, an Iowa native, has been a Florida resident since 1983, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida in 1985. After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Wickman held positions with Xerox Corporation as a marketing representative, and with California Federal Savings & Loan as a residential loan officer. In January 1988, Mr. Wickman relocated to Bradenton, Florida where he acquired the first of ultimately three men’s formalwear stores called "Tux For Less," which he owned and operated until their sale in May 1992. Upon the sale of his retail businesses, Mr. Wickman entered law school at Stetson University, College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in December 1994, graduating Magna Cum Laude, fourth in his class. Mr. Wickman has been engaged in the transactional practice of Business and Real Estate law since 1995.
   In addition to his law practice, Mr. Wickman’s community involvement has included service as chairman of the Bradenton area Head Start Policy Council, a director of Manatee County Junior Achievement, service as an Elder and former chairman of the finance committee for the First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton, service as a director and past secretary of the Manatee County Bar Association, service as a member and the 2006-2007 membership chairman of the South Manatee SERTOMA Club, and is also a 2000 graduate of Leadership Manatee.

Jonathan P. Whitney

   Jonathan P. Whitney received his B.S. in Computer Science and his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine, respectively. While attending the University of Maine, Jonathan interned with Pine Tree Legal Assistance, Inc. providing representation to low-income and indigent clients. Jonathan is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and all State Courts in Maine. In addition, he is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
   Jonathan's publications include "Real Estate Investors Gone Wild: Can I Get Out of My Contract?" found in the August 2007 edition of The Docket, the monthly news letter from the Sarasota County Bar Association. Jonathan's article focuses on the growing dilemma faced by real-estate investors of whether to close on pre-construction condominium purchase contracts, demand return of their deposit, or forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages.
